Getting a new set of acrylic dentures is a personal journey. We work with you to design dentures that you can look and feel your best in. You can also explore our numerous material options/samples to choose what suits you best.
When you’re ready to take the next step, we design your personalised treatment plan. Most people require four appointments over the course of a month. Plan for one appointment a week. Though if you have custom requirements, it may take a little longer, and we will walk you through the process so you know exactly what will happen at each appointment.
We will assess your existing tooth and bone structure. We’ll also take impressions from which we create a mould of your mouth structure. This is how we can ensure the best fit for your new denture.
In your next treatment, we will take your bite registration, which clinically records your bite, using bite blocks so we can ensure your acrylic denture fits well. In this appointment, you will also get to select the shape and colour of your teeth.
Your third visit to our denture studio will be a ‘try-in’ where we insert a wax model of your denture, with all teeth in place, so you can see what it will look like. You can request any changes you like to ensure we get the perfect fit and a natural-looking smile you love.
Your fourth and final appointment is the big day! You’ll get your new acrylic denture fitted, and you’ll walk out of here happy knowing you can smile and eat with ease and comfort. We’ll also advise you on how to best care for your dentures so they last you as long as possible.
Acrylic dentures are removable false teeth (prostheses) that can fill in teeth gaps or completely replace your missing teeth. If you need to replace all your natural teeth, acrylic full dentures are the best solution.
Acrylic partial dentures are a more cost-effective option if you have some existing teeth and would like to fill the gaps in between. An acrylic partial denture can be specifically designed to suit your mouth shape as it is without any further tooth extraction.
Acrylic dentures with metal clasps allow for a closer, more accurate fit. There will be a couple of wires connected to the gum-coloured acrylic which are designed to clasp onto the neighbouring teeth and prevent your partial acrylic dentures from sliding around.

However, as with all dentures, it will take a little while to adjust to the feeling. It may feel like your mouth is suddenly full of teeth and crowded out, making it feel strange to speak or chew normally.
This phase will quickly pass, and you’ll find the increased stability an acrylic denture gives to be quite natural. It won’t take long before you’ll feel strange without the denture!

Most dentures last a long time with proper care and regular checks with your dental prosthetist. If you choose an acrylic denture, you can expect it to last an average of 5 to 7 years. We also advise that you get it relined every couple of years so you can maintain a good fit.
Yes, more teeth can be added at any time. Denture additions are easier to perform on an acrylic denture than a chrome denture and can work out more cost-effective in the long run.
